Steep
Capsule by J.R. Jones
From the Chicago Reader

A tedious movie about excitement, this documentary by writer-director Mark Obenhaus explores the world of extreme skiers, who tackle such deadly slopes as the Grand Tetons, Mont Blanc, and the Chugach Mountains in southern Alaska. If you've seen any of Warren Miller's winter sports documentaries, you know what to expect from the genre: breathtaking landscapes, awestruck voice-over narration, and world-class ski bums trumpeting their superior relationship with nature. I've had more fun shoveling my walk. PG, 92 min.
