Seven Days in May
Capsule by Dave Kehr
From the Chicago Reader

A political thriller about an attempted military takeover of the United States, dating from 1964, when Barry Goldwater was first making paranoia a marketable movie commodity. John Frankenheimer directed, too much in love with technique, though he ably taps the neuroticism of Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, and Fredric March. The script is by Rod Serling, from the novel by Fletcher Knebel and Charles W. Bailey II. 118 min.
